Shraddhanjali — The Tribute
Words are fluid by nature.
They take the shape of whatever holds them.
They can be ordinary or priceless, abundant or scarce.
They can be weighed, adorned, refined.
They can dissolve, intoxicate, scatter, break—and sometimes, become the soul itself.
At times, words are nothing.
And at times, they are everything.
Ask their true weight of someone who has lost a loved one.
There may be an ocean within, pouring through the eyes, yet not a single word finds its way out.
Because the person who is gone was never merely a person.
They were a relationship, a responsibility, a hope, a guardian.
Perhaps, their entire world.
And how do you fit an entire life into a page?
How do you give a river only a few drops?
A tribute is not about having more words.
It is about finding the right ones—words that are measured, sincere and worthy of the life they honour.
We cannot lessen the weight of this moment.
But we can offer a handful of words to help carry it—words written not for a ritual, but from the heart.
